Options for the STULZ Explorer

The numerous different options and possible equipment enable you to perfectly adapt STULZ units to your specific requirements.

  • Hydraulic module (HK)

The optional hydraulic module is integrated in machines with smaller outputs, and is an external module in the case of the larger sizes. The hydraulic module consists of a buffer tank, an expansion tank and a pump.

  • Coated coils for corrosion protection

The condenser can be treated with an epoxy or cataphoretic coating for improved corrosion protection. These coatings are recommended for use with aggressive air-side environmental influences.

  • Protective grill

Protective grills for the coils are available for all versions. These are manufactured from the same material as the chiller housing, and painted in the same color. The size and cross section of the mesh is designed to achieve an ideal compromise between the two primary objectives: to protect the components and allow the required airflow rate.

  • Shock & vibration absorbers

The shock & vibration absorbers prevent mechanical vibrations from being transmitted to the substructure.

  • Soft start

The soft start reduces mechanical stress when the compressor starts up, and simultaneously reduces the load of the electrical switchgear required for this.

  • Flow monitor

This component ensures that the water/glycol mixture is circulated around the circuit. It is installed in the water inlet of the chiller. The flow monitor is electrically connected to the chiller controller, and in the event of an interruption in the flow of circulating fluid, it switches the machine off to prevent the evaporator from freezing and damage to the hydraulic components.
